Accessible toilet
For toilets, sufficient maneuvering space must be provided next to the toilet during the construction phase.

The seat of the accessible toilet must be at a height of between 450 and 500 mm from the floor. At least one grab bar at a height of between 700 and 800 mm must allow the person to be transferred from the wheelchair to the toilet.
Its fastening and support must ensure that an adult can lean on the grab bar with their full weight.
The use of a folding grab bar facilitates lateral access.
The recommended length for this support is equal to that of the toilet bowl, extended by at least 150 mm.
If a toilet without an exposed cistern is used, it is advisable to provide a backrest to prevent the user from falling backward.
