The Dyson Airblade Wash + Dry is an innovative hand dryer integrated into a sensor-activated tap. It dries hands in just 14 seconds using HEPA-filtered air. This multifunctional design saves space and prevents water from dripping onto the floor when users have to go to a separate hand-drying station after using the wash basin.

Hygiene and cleanliness

The Dyson Airblade Wash + Dry operates completely touch-free thanks to the sensor-activated tap and integrated professional hand dryer. The air used to dry hands at a speed of 550 km/h is purified by a HEPA filter, removing 99.95% of any bacteria from the air. As a result, the Wash + Dry meets strict hygiene requirements and is also HACCP-certified for use in the food industry.

Cost savings

The operating costs for the Dyson Airblade Wash + Dry average around €34 per year. By way of comparison, the cost of paper towels and cotton rolls is often between €0.01 and €0.05 per hand-drying cycle. This makes the Wash + Dry up to 98% cheaper than (paper) towels. Although paper may seem cheaper initially, there are significant costs associated with maintenance, refilling, tidying up and disposal.

Sustainability

The Dyson Airblade Wash + Dry hand dryer dries hands in 14 seconds, which is significantly less harmful to the environment than other methods. It requires less energy and has a smaller carbon footprint, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 79% compared to paper towels. The water flow has been optimised from 4 litres per minute to 1.9 litres per minute and is only activated when hands are held under the tap. This can save up to 80% water compared to conventional taps.

Maintenance-free and quiet

The Dyson hand dryers have been significantly optimised in recent years, resulting in operation that is 39% quieter than its predecessors. This noise reduction has been achieved through a new motor calibration, which draws in less air. Despite the reduced noise levels, the unit maintains a fast drying time of 14 seconds, making it one of the quietest jet hand dryers on the market and particularly suitable for office environments. Furthermore, the Dyson Airblade Wash + Dry is virtually 100% maintenance-free. As it is an integrated hand-drying solution mounted above the wash basin, there is no longer any need for a separate wall-mounted drying unit. This not only saves a considerable amount of space but also prevents water from spilling onto the floor.
